This holiday season has already been rife with changes and adjustments so people can work around the current global pandemic. There may not be as many big events to go and attend this holiday season, but if you know where to look there are still a few. Consider some alternative activities this year for safer, healthier holiday fun.
The Castle of Muskogee
3400 West Fern Mountain Road
Muskogee, OK 74401
Thanksgiving – New Years Eve, 5:30 PM-10:00PM
The drive-through experience of Castle Christmas is open this holiday season for a safer Christmas celebration. There are a lot of separate components of the Castle Christmas experience, but some are canceled due to the nature of the Pandemic, like a visit from Saint Nicholas. You can still come for Rudolph’s Café, Merchant products, and a visit to nearby Honor Heights Park for The Garden of Lights.
Visit with Santa Claus Virtually
If your kids are missing the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap this year, there is an alternative. A quick google search will find you a few ways to connect with Santa online this year. Imagine it, a Zoom call with old man Christmas himself!
Find Holiday Lights Shows Online
Whether you choose videos, online maps, or even full virtual experiences, there are a lot of ways to enjoy holiday lights with your computer. You never know what you might find with some searches. Ever wanted to see the holiday lights in different countries from the comfort of your own home? It’s easier to do it this year than ever before. Look for presentations of holiday trees in state capitols and major public areas to be posted online in the coming days. Just because you can’t go around to all these places in person doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the holiday cheer with your family this year!
